The First ASWR Awards Ceremony took place on August 2, 2024, at Mama Glow’s The Soft Space in Brooklyn, NY.
At the private event, The ASWR Award recognized five Black women/girls who have been cultivating safe spaces for people in their daily lives. In partnership with The LES Girls Club, one youth was honored with the annual “A Legend in the Making” Award. Honorees were presented wiith an award and gifts and gave speeches to inform guests about their work and legacies!
